Manufacturing
At Headsply, the art of plywood manufacturing combines advanced technology with strict quality standards to deliver products that are strong, reliable, and durable. Every stage of production is carefully monitored to ensure consistency and excellence.
Selection of Raw Materials
Only premium-quality hardwood and softwood logs are sourced, ensuring strength, uniform texture, and longevity in the final product.Log Preparation & Veneer Production
The logs are conditioned, peeled, and sliced into thin veneer sheets using modern peeling machines. These veneers are then dried to achieve the right moisture balance.Veneer Grading & Treatment
Each veneer sheet is graded based on quality and strength. To enhance resistance, they undergo chemical treatment for protection against borers, termites, and moisture.Adhesive Application & Layering
High-grade resins and adhesives are evenly applied, and the veneers are layered with alternating grains (cross-bonding) to provide strength and dimensional stability.Hot Pressing
The stacked veneers are compressed under high temperature and pressure using hydraulic hot presses. This process fuses the layers firmly and ensures structural durability.Trimming, Sanding & Calibration
The pressed plywood sheets are trimmed to precise dimensions, calibrated for uniform thickness, and finely sanded to achieve a smooth, ready-to-use surface.Finishing & Quality Inspection
Each sheet is inspected for defects, tested for strength, moisture resistance, and durability, before being finished for delivery.Packaging & Dispatch
Finished products are carefully packed to prevent damage during handling and transportation, ensuring they reach customers in perfect condition.
At Headsply, our manufacturing excellence ensures that every plywood sheet is not just a product, but a mark of strength, precision, and trust.
